Are you looking for something to do in the April school holiday? Come along to Paraparaumu Library for an afternoon/evening of events - there's even pizza on offer!
The following events are on Friday 10th April:
3:00 - 4:30 pm Teen Art (Create a WW1 memento - a poppy glass necklace or key chain)
4:30 - 5:30 pm Pizza (For those who attend the art and/or Wrappers)
5:30 - 7:00 pm Wrappers (A week later than usual because of Good Friday)
You'll need to phone and register for the art and pizza, but if you only want to attend the Wrappers meeting just turn up at 5:30 pm.
There will be a special teen movie night at Paraparaumu Library on Friday 27 March - it's not for the little kids this month! Due to licensing conditions we can't name the movie here but it is based on a very popular book by John Green. You can ask at the library or work it out from the clues in the poster below. Remember to collect your free tickets in advance from the information desk at Paraparaumu Library.
We were fortunate to have Mandy Hager visit and speak to us at the last Wrappers meeting. It's always interesting to hear the story behind the story, so to speak, and Mandy explained some of the reasons she chooses the themes for her books and her development as a writer from a young age.
